Grants and Donations
The Parish Council reserves part of its annual budget for grants to organisations that make a significant contribution to the local community. Grant applications are considered and grants awarded at the annual March meeting of the Parish Council.
There is only a limited amount of money available and grant applications need to meet certain criteria:
-
grants are only given to organisations who can demonstrate that their activites are of direct benefit to Hurst or to residents of Hurst;
-
grants must conform to statutory Local Government rules; and
-
commerical organisations are not eligible to apply for grants.
